Design job for 2nd SLNG expansion awarded

Front-end engineering design (FEED) for a second expansion to the $1.7 billion Singapore LNG (SLNG) terminal has started, with specialist engineering group WorleyParsons clinching the FEED contract after a rigorous tender process. The expansion, estimated to cost around $500 million and covering the addition of a fourth liquefied natural gas storage tank and associated facilities, will boost the Jurong Island terminal's throughput by 50 per cent to nine million tonnes per annum (tpa).
